Surrounded by their biggest fans, they said their vows on the beach and then partied under the moonlight, converting the beach house's decks into their dancefloor. Guests dined on the lawn and toasted the couple under glowing string lights, just like the invitation Sydney sent their guests.

Sydney and Thomas found the perfect venue to host their closest family and friends. The house they chose, Rhapsody in Blue, is quickly becoming one of our favorite locations for a beach wedding on Oak Island. The owners, Rose and Larry Krynski, have created the perfect beachfront wedding location for destination wedding couples. This home is one of the couple's three short term rentals on Oak Island. Sydney and Thomas couldn't stop talking about how perfect the house was!
Covid may have caused the guest list to be smaller than originally planned, but the wedding was full of love! Let's do a little Q&A to hear more about the couple's inspiration and their best wedding tips for future couple's planning a beach wedding!
What was your wedding inspiration?
At first, my wedding inspiration was from a wedding planning project that my sister did using me as "her client" - Hahaha!
What was your most anticipated part of the day?
Sydney: I anticipated the ceremony the most. I was so anxious and excited to see my husband for the first time that day and see his reaction.
Thomas: Reading my vows - because I waited till the day of the wedding to write them so I could write from the heart at that moment.
What was your favorite part of the day?
Our favorite part of the day was seeing each other at the altar and getting to share that special moment with our loved ones.
Which detail(s) did you like best about your wedding?
How perfect the weather was, it was literally picture perfect.
What was the biggest challenge you faced in planning your big day?
Probably the number of people that were actually going to be there. Half of my (Sydney) family wasn’t able to come due to Covid. :(
What’s your biggest piece of advice to couples reading this?
You don’t have to have a big, flashy wedding for it to be beautiful.
What's been going on since the wedding?
Since the wedding, we've gone back to our usual routine. We just planned our honeymoon for May 2021 in Glacier National Park :)
